Terms of Service

Last updated October 21, 2026

We’re pro-AI. People shouldn’t be penalized for using it when the ideas and final calls are their own. Using your edit history to train AI models keeps Actually Written free and helps us build fairer ways to recognize human work.

Edit history sharing

Agreeing to these terms during setup turns on edit history sharing. While on, the extension also records each edit: what was typed, pasted, or deleted, where, and when. For writing you publish or send while it’s on, we remove the names, emails, and phone numbers we detect and use the edit history, final text, platform, and timing to train AI models, without your name, account, or links.

What we share

For writing you publish or send while sharing is on: each edit (what was typed, pasted, or deleted, where, and when), the final text, the platform, and timing. Drafts you never publish and writing done while sharing is off are never included.

Ownership

Actually Written owns the edit history data collected while sharing is on, and all rights to it, including the right to use it to train AI models.

How we protect you

We never include your name, email, username, profile, or links, and records aren’t grouped by writer. We redact the names, emails, and phone numbers we detect.

Your choice

You can turn sharing off anytime in your profile. That stops recording edits and excludes you from future datasets. To delete stored edit history, email nicolasdaguila40@gmail.com. Delivered datasets can’t be recalled.
